I attended the practice session this morning as the team prepares for tomorrow's game against Kyoto.
All healthy players took part, as well as a few youth players and the two amateur Brazilians yet to be called up to the roster: Gadu and Igor. Gadu showed some good power and Igor has some great head-ball coordination.
The practice focused on place kicks, corner kicks, and crosses into one touch goals. The crosses were especially impressive and I would expect midfielder Kanazawa to attempt quite a few in tomorrow's match.
As the players walked from the field back to the dormitory, I spoke to a few about their feelings on tomorrow's match. There was an incredible amount of optimism.
