Defender Hiroki Kato has joined Mito as a "special accessory player". He is in his third year at Ryutsu Keizai University in south Ibaraki and given Mito's injuries in the back of the field, it was known that sooner or later someone would have to come in.
It wasn't described what a "special accessory player" entails, but I would think that it is someone on the roster yet not practicing with the team, ready to be called up if needed. Considering he did not make any statements with the team or have his picture taken in uniform, which has yet to happen on the website, I think he likely will keep playing for the university team (in the JFL) and join the Mito bench if another injury comes along.
