Mito 1 - 2 Osaka

Cerezo Osaka took a win they desperately needed for their promotion chances by taking advantage of a sluggish Mito side. The first half saw Mito solid yet uninspired, conceding two goals quickly. On the other hand, Osaka seemed fluid and powerful with a returning Kagawa to aid the squad. It seemed that Osaka's three game losing streak would surely end.

The second half, though, belonged to Mito as far as pressing and possession goes. It paid off with midfielder Akahoshi taking the shot of the game and scoring his third of the year. Unfortunately for Mito, the remaining chances didn't come through and Cerezo shut things down and ate up time from the 85th minute.

Still, many good things to see in the performance and poor results from other clubs nearby on the table mean there isn't much damage with the loss. Mito's next match at Ehime this Saturday should be much brighter.
