Mito finished up its last game in the reserve league in a big way, beating the visiting Tokyo side in a single half.
After a scoreless first half, young Mito forward Mansho scored a hat trick. He later commented that he wanted to make a big impression to be selected to appear in a league match. The other two goals were taken by midfielder Suzuki, who has been in most league matches subbing in from the bench.
After the big win, the goal difference puts Mito at the top of Group C. All other teams still have games to play though and so it will depend on those results to see Mito's final placement.
