Obviouosly after the last 1-5 result in Tosu, a scoreless draw is a great improvement, but the play itself didn't seem to be any better quality than the last meeting. It took an uninspired Tosu side to bring about the draw.
Tosu also had two unlucky breaks in two offside calls near the end of the game that reversed goals the 16,000-strong Tosu crowd expected to bring victory.
Still, Mito takes one point in the standings and is now a single point off of Tokushima. More importantly for the team's flow and morale, the team has only lost one game in the last seven. Few other teams in either division can make that claim.
